FAQ
Privacy, security & trust
Simple answers about your data, what we collect, and how Cogiva keeps things private.
What
Is my data private?
Yes. Your journals, memories, and conversations are private by default. We do not sell personal data, and access is limited to what you explicitly allow.
Is Cogiva a medical device? Does it diagnose conditions?
No. Cogiva is a cognitive support platform, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions. Always consult a qualified clinician for medical advice.
Can anyone read what I write?
No one at Cogiva reads your journal or chat for curiosity or marketing. Support access is rare, logged, and only when you request help or we must meet a legal obligation.
How
Is my data used to train AI?
We do not use your private journal, memories, or chat content to train public AI models. Product improvement uses aggregated, privacy-preserving signals. Never your raw personal writing sold or scraped for model training.
How do you protect against identity theft and account takeover?
We use encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed credentials, session controls, and secure storage practices. We never ask for passwords by email. Enable a strong unique password; enterprise plans can add SSO.
Do you follow GDPR and SOC 2 practices?
Yes. We design for GDPR-aligned rights (consent, export, delete) and apply SOC 2 style security practices such as access control, encryption in transit, and audit logging. Ask support@cogiva.ai for our current compliance posture. We do not overstate certifications we have not completed.
Where is my data stored?
Data is stored in secured cloud infrastructure with access controls and encryption in transit. Regional options for organizations can be discussed for Enterprise pilots.
Basic
Can I delete everything?
Yes. You can delete your account and associated personal data from settings. Deletion is designed to be complete for product data we control. Ask support if you need help confirming.
Can I export my memories?
Yes. Export tools let you take your memories and key data with you. Your cognitive history should never feel locked in.
What happens if there's a security incident?
We treat incidents seriously: contain, investigate, and notify affected users as required by law and our privacy commitments. Report concerns to support@cogiva.ai.
Still unsure? Email support@cogiva.ai or read the Privacy Policy.
